plugIT project
ITG SA participates in an international project co-financed by EU 7th Framework Programme – plugIT.

PlugIT – European Commission named plugIT one of the best projects from EU 7th Framework Programme submitted to competition in 2008!
ITG SA is responsible for preparing referential libraries encompassing standards, regulations and solutions typical to wholesale and retail trade and will soon begin testing performance of the platform as a tool supporting consulting services.
Members of the Consortium:
- innovative companies from Austria, Italy and Poland (ITG SA)
- data centers from Germany, Greece and Italy
- Universities from Austria and Switzerland
- BOC GmbH is a consulting company and software manufacturer specializing in Business Process Management, as well as IT and Strategy Management. It has been on the market since 1995 and currently operates internationally (Europe). The company is headquartered in Vienna.
- Elsag Datamat spa is a company specializing in designing and manufacturing software and is a part of Finmeccanica Group – one of the leading industrial groups in the world and also the biggest one in Italy. Elsag Datamat spa provides services and solutions in the field of automation, security, transport and IT to companies in the public and private sector.
- Department Business and Knowledge Engineering at Vienna University – the development of IT technology causes universities to intensify research in the field of IT and know-how. It collaborates with BOC GmbH on implementing EU IT projects.
- Foundation for Research & Technology – Hellas (FORTH) is a Greek IT research center supervised by the Ministry of Development. It represents Greece in the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics. Research and technological directions of the foundation cover mainly IT, Molecular Biology, Tellecommunications, Microelectronics and Robotics.
- Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) is a group of colleges comprising eight Swiss universities with 50 institutes in Aargau, Basel-Land, Basel-Stadr and Solothurn. FHNW researchers regularly participate in European IT research projects.
- Cincea Consorzio Interuniversitario is a non-profit organization which brings togethers 32 Italian universities, as well as the Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The aim of the institution is to connect science with industrial sector and public administration through research and development of application and IT services.
- High Performance Computer Center at the Stuttgart University was founded in 1995 as the first computing center in Germany. It supports scientific research and industry offering complicated computing technologies.

The result of the project will be a modern platform for modeling and managing expert knowledge which will provide:
- „instant” consulting
- Shorter implementation time
- Reducing the costs of implementation (shorter analysis, planning and design stage)
- Custom-made solutions
- Solutions compliant with applicable regulations
